• WE ARE NOW SWITCHING EVERY OTHER DAY A.M./P.M. CLASSES IN CASE YOU DIDN'T ALREADY REALIZE! We are sorry if this makes for confusing situations in the morning, but it definitely shows in the lack of more transitions in the afternoon. The kids seem to be adjusted now :)

 We will be moving on to our next Unit (27): Time & Schedules. We will be learning how to write the following characters:

• 几 jǐ- how many
• 点 diǎn- little/small/point/o'clock
• 了 le - past tense (added at the end of something to show completion)
• 分 fēn- minute/part
• 半 bàn- half
• 课 kè- class
• 放 fàng- to put/place (放学- to "put school" - to be done with school for the day)
• 学xué- to learn/school/student

Also, here are some videos of a song we have been practicing. I hope you find them as funny as I did. Hopefully your child will be able to tell you what we're singing about. If not, I fail. :)

 Math:

We will be starting GEOMETRY (my personal favorite unit)! :)

We will continuing Unit 11 on Three digit addition/subtraction & doing our test on Thursday. This concept is a little difficult for the kids (regrouping three digit subtraction especially) so we will be doing lots of review!

 We will be moving on to our next Unit (Better Chinese Unit 28) about items in your room. Over the next two weeks, we will be learning how to write the following words in addition on how to say common items in your room. One of our activites will be to take home cards and label the items in your own room, so be looking for those cards :)

• 具 jù- tool
• 可 kě- to be able (可是- but)
• 是 shì- to be (可是-but)
• 英 yīng- England/English (英文）
• 文 wén- word
• 中 zhōng- middle/Chinese (中文）
• 有yǒu- to have

 Math:

We will doing our test (Unit 10) on Tuesday and then beginning Unit 11 on Adding/Subtracting 3-digit numbers.
