Here are some updates on the info being taught this next week in Chinese/English.
English literacy: starting a new unit this week.

- 自 zì- self, oneself, myself
- 己 jǐ -self, oneself (this character is used with the one above to make the word "self")

- 电 diàn- electric, electricity (used to make the word "computer" which is literally "electric brain"-- 电脑diànnǎo)
- 衣 yī - clothing (used in the word "clothing"- 衣服 yīfú)
- 起 qǐ -rise, stand up, go up, begin
- 再 zài- again
- Vocabulary we will be learning to read/listen to/say:
- All on the Singapore website in the stories and in the stories sent home to practice reading (Unit 15).

In both English and Chinese classes, homework will now be given Monday-Thursday.
English: daily practice of spelling and vocabulary from weekly story.
Math: English worksheet reinforcing concepts taught in Chinese class daily.
Chinese: homework will consist of character practice, character worksheets, or reading.
