The vocabulary we will be learning to read are all from the stories that are sent home (from the Singapore website). The vocabulary we will be learning to write are the following:
- 张 zhǎng (cháng)- long, to grow
- 开 kāi- to open
- 车 chē- car
- 哪 nǎ- where
- 里 lǐ- distance
- 也 yě- also
- 想 xiǎng- to think
- 人rén- people, person, man
Chinese Readers
The readers are still coming home on Mondays and should be back at the latest by the Friday of the same week. They are not expected to read them perfectly, but are expected to be able to pull out characters they know from class. Please make sure they keep track of these readers and return them, as they cost $5.00 each and will not be able to receive the next book until they have turned in previous books.
