 Chinese:
 We will be doing our test on Unit 16 Review from Better Chinese (Exercise) and then beginning the next Unit from Better Chinese (17) on Animals/Pets. In addition to our vocabulary words we are learning to read, we will be learning to write the following characters (we'll had a few more next week):

• 有 yǒu－to have
• 没 méi- to not (not have: 没有）
• 家  jiā- home/house
• 爱  ài- love
• 可 kě- to be able to, can

Please encourage your kids to practice writing as much as possible at home, as it improves all other aspects of Chinese (reading and listening). If you want to look up the stroke order of each character, you can copy and paste the above characters into this website: http://www.mdbg.net/chindict/chindict.php and then click on the icon below the character that has a little picture of a Chinese brush and then you can see the stroke orders!

Testing on Unit 3: Subtraction Strategies. Then beginning the next Unit 4 (Adding multiple numbers/ connecting to multiplication).
