We will start Better Chinese Unit 23/24 on comparisons. This unit will extend past Christmas break because we probably won't get it finished before (given all the Christmas activities we have planned). So don't stress if they don't get it by Friday as we'll take however long we need after break. We will be learning different animals' body parts in Chinese and then comparing them. Students, by the end of the unit, should be able to compare to things and say which is is longer, shorter, taller, fatter, skinnier, etc.
  • cháng- long
  • bǐ - to compare _____比_______大 (something compared to something else)
  • kuài- fast, happy
  • duō- a lot, many
  • gāo- tall, heightened
In case you didn't see these cute videos from last week's blog post, here they are again. Hopefully we will get some videos of the kids singing a Christmas song on here soon. :)

Purple class.
Yellow class.

 Math:
We have started the next unit, Unit 8 on Place Value. We will be learning, among other important math strategies and concepts, REGROUPING.
